Done it! Week 9, run 3 in the bag.
Wanted to see whether how far I was running so used run keeper to track the running bit (eg excluding the 5min walk). Completed 30mins and still not at 5km so kept going and managed 5km in 32m33s. To top it off, I got back to find Sunderland had won 4-1 away. This is even more unlikely than me running 30mins seemed at Christmas.
Very happy. Started at New Year and had a few weather related breaks when it was just too icy before and after work, but so pleased to complete the course. Feel so much more energetic and positive, and though I haven't lost weight according to the scales I definitely notice a difference in shape.
Thanks to the regulars on here for help and advice, especially in early days. Will definitely keep up the 5kms
