Well, I can't believe it! I really can't! Just 9 weeks ago I was a huffing and puffing mess at week 1!
Today I did week 9 run 3 - the sun is shining and the gales have gone, so I got up ths morning, donned my running ear and walked down to the beach. Walked to the soft sand and set off running. At the 30min mark, I'd covered 1.75miles, so we turned around (otherwise we'd have a long long walk back) and retraced our steps back down the beach.
I wasn't aiming for 5km, I honestly think I'd manage it before the run, but soon enough 2.6miles was looming, so I just had to keep on. We got back to our start point (well there abouts, I couldn't find the marker I'd left), in 1 hour 2mins 17sec. I had ran 3.59miles! That equates to 5.77km!!
So I didn't manage doing it in 30mins - I don't care! -im so proud that I've completed week 9 and done a 5km run!!
So that's it. I've done it! Completed c25k. When do I get my graduate badge??
I've a big grin on my face at the moment. I'm not stopping running now. I've the race for life coming up in july, so I've just over 2.5months to increase my pace. Think I'll be doing a few more 5km in my training leading up to it!
I'm so happy! And the sun is still shining!!!

Well done lizziej, it's such a fantastic feeling isn't it?? Only people who have come from nothing to 5k can ever appreciate the wonderful feeling of achievement that it brings. You are a runner!!!
Congratualtions on completing the 9 weeks and amazing perseverance to get that 5K done as well. Great achievement. It is awesome how we all start huffing and puffing and then 9 short weeks later we are runners. Well done.
Yay!! well done it's such a great feeling isn't it? and the beach run sounds idyllic, for me, scenery is so important to keep my spirits up during a run. Looking forward to seeing the graduate badge by your name x
