Firstly - wow - I've made it: 27 runs, many startled rabbits, 5 deer, a green woodpecker, a bird of prey (unfortunately couldnt identify it but it was big!) and many dog walkers and horse riders interupted!
Secondly - thanks to all those who have asked questions, answered questions and blogged - I have been reading them all even if I haven't been commenting and they have been real encouragement along the way. My humble observations are as follows: No I havent lost much weight but everyone thinks I have because I have definitely reduced in waist size! Tried a treadmill twice and didn't enjoy it (kept thinking I was going to fall off) so have loved running outside and yes - the run in the pouring rain was one of my most enjoyable!
Thirdly - haven't quite made the 5km in 30mins - it is taking about the 33mins, so now want to set this as my next target. Not quite sure how to go about it ... cant decide whether to stick with runs of 5km or to do some shorter and faster runs ...
So thank you c25k - I have achieved a running distance at the age of 41 (and having had 2 children) that I could never achieve when I was an active sporty teenager!!

Congratulations for completing the course morefitmum!
I wish my local environment had such animals to startle, perhaps next time I'll go looking for them. I am also yet to run in rain, but do like the idea!
In regards to how to decrease your time, maybe try the first of the three different podcasts for graduates of the 5k? nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/...
Well done unfitmum - i had a big grin reading your blog today, I can relate exactly to the high you feel post graduation run.
good luck with your running journey and completing you 5k in 30 mins (although you are very close!) I look forward to reading you future posts
Abi
firstly - WELL DONE YOU - you deserve your shiny green graduate badge of achievement - so get it and wear it with pride!
secondly - it's not about the weight, it's all about the shape... that's my new motto.
thirdly - look upon it as having the best of both worlds - you can run for 30 mins AND you can run for 5k so when someone asks what you can do, you can already tell them that I can do both!
Congratulations! I live just outside of London and dont have a nice route to run around, I run laps around my local park, so I envy you. I only have two runs to go so hope to join you by the end of the week!
Re: badge. I emailed via the 'help' button and within 5 mins I had a reply back asking for my user name, and 2 mins later I had my badge. Very efficient! x
Of course I didn't mention the hills that are around here - some times I would really appreciate a flattish park to run round instead of going about 2miles an hour up a hill!!! And of course there is the horse poo I have to avoid all the time too, and the churned up path due to horse hooves!! So those of you who are jealous of my lovely route (which admittedly it is) please remember there are downsides too!!!
My husband has just read my user name and commented that it appears that I am unfit to be a mum!!! This was not what i wanted to imply when I chose the name!!!
Congratulations on graduating and your blog, enjoy the next journey
