Week 3 run 2

Tried out my new trainers today😊 Felt light, and supportive. Knee pain almost gone. Finding the 3 minute runs hard but kept going at my snail 🐌 pace. Can't help but feel worried regarding week 4 but know I must take each week as it comes!πŸ˜³πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Well done! Was it the trainers that made the knee pain go or getting used to the running?

To be honest I gave myself several rest days off and avoided kneeling , it was much improved before my run , tested kneeling after run and hardly feel it hurt now.😊

Anticipation not apprehension....take every run as it comes, knowing that you are ready for them...

If you keep it steady and slow.... you will be fine:)

Couch-potato - you sound a bit like i did a week ago. I was having a lot of pains in my legs, some decent shoes seems to have fixed that, 3 minute runs were killing me and i was dreading Wk4.

In fact, so much so that i posted a thread saying i had no idea how i would go from 3 minutes to 5. Someone answered on that thread and told me that after a few minutes your body gets into a rhythm and its not as bad as you think.

I just done the first week 4 run tonight and i have to say its true> i honestly thought leaving the house tonight i had no chance but i feel like i sailed through it and could of run longer. Have faith in yourself, and in the program and just take each run a they come. My new mantra !

No worrying required, just positive thinking because I promise, you will be fine. Trust the program and don’t start too quicklyπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Hang in there, you'll get there. If I can do it, believe me anyone can! Just take it easy, go slow and find a nice route with lots to look at to distract yourself!

Stick at it and speed doesn't matter. I have finished wk5/2 and so chuffed.

Not what you're looking for?
