And it couldnβt have been more magical! With Tina Turner πΆ Simply The Best πΆ in my ear and beautiful snow! Snow is one of my passions.
When I started on 7th Jan, I never imagined Iβd get this far. Then, a few weeks ago when i realised It was achievable, I wanted make my graduation run special and by the sea. Sadly, life and weather didnβt allow for that and then the Arctic Blast arrived.
I almost slipped on ice 3 times in the warm up walk so had to run ridiculously slow but I did it! In fact, it was nice to take it slow and realise the stamina the program has helped me build.
Thank you Jo Whiley and all the wonderful warm and encouraging people on this forum. I could have done it without you but the point is, I wouldnβt have.
So emotional and ecstatically happy! πβοΈπͺ

Whoop whoop ππππΎ congratulations to you and a great big well done. Especially for graduating in this weather. Enjoy the feeling and when the storm strikes you can sit with a wide smug smile on your face and think "I've just graduated" π€
Brilliant! Running in the snow (well, not a blizzard) can be so exhilirating and your graduation run besides: enjoy the podium and more great running in the snow or not!
Well done! Thatβs awesome. I hope you have a celebration lined up x
Thank you Maggie. It is hard work in the snow. I went for a beautiful walk last night in virgin snow and it is hard work. Especially when itβs as deep as you have it.
I adore snow but Iβm now willing it all to melt so I can do my first post grad run! I hope the weather where you are improves soon.
Thank you Woo45!
Hubby walked 2 miles this morning to the next village to get some bread and milk. We kept in contact by mobiles. The lane in the village and the road out was not passable at all this morning.
However the farmers have been out with their tractors since and have started to clear the lanes. Nobodyβs been driving out yet and I never went running. I think I probably would have sunk in the drifts hee! hee!βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
So tomorrow Iβll either try and go out running or it will be treadmill. Didnβt do that today as so much was going on today I thought Iβd leave it till Sun.
Like you I too adore snow but Iβm willing to say ta! ta! to it this year and eagerly wait to welcome spring with open arms and my running shoes ππha!
Take care Woo and happy runningπββοΈπββοΈππ
