First week done

I’ve just done W1R3. I hadn’t been out for 6 days however and the run has killed me. Even after the 1st 60 second run I struggled. Peaked at 4, and literally counted down to 8 until it was over!! Booo!!

But now I’ve had a shower I feel really proud for not giving up. Run scheduled now for Saturday morning I hope to see an improvement!!

Before starting this program I hadn't ran for probably 15 years and week one killed me! I completed week 3 run 2 yesterday and honestly feel like I could run more!! Keep going, keep faith in yourself and trust the program!!!

Hi Lunachic, I'm on the same run as you and will be starting wk2run1 on Saturday too, so I've 'followed' you to try and motivate myself. I struggled today (which surprised me, as I didn't find run1 too bad at all) so I was contemplating re-doing week 1 - is it a big leap to week two do you know? Thanks and well done xxx

I thought earlier, should I redo week one, and no! We are processing, we should move onwards! If it wasn’t for the bad , icy weather, I should have nearly completed w2! I’ll tollow you back and we can keep each other going? How does that sound? X

Personally I think that's some achievement to get on out there after a 6 day break, so early in the programme. Would have been so easy to not get out there, so you do be proud of yourself! Willpower is what will get you there. :)

Thank you!! It’s been so snowy and icy and I’ve had a virus this week too. I bought a fitness DVD this week to try to do something if I can’t get outside. I’ve genuinely felt guilty for not getting out when previously I was sure I had some sort of allergy to exercise!!! I’ve had 4 babies in the last 4 years so my body has been through a lot. So need to reclaim what I can! Xx

OK, well now I'm even more impressed - I never have any clue how folks fit in the runs with young children, let alone 4 and as young as yours must be! :O Got some twins in the mix there per chance? :)
