Well I have gone from playing rugby forward in scrums (we are not built for running) then having to stop because of work. to having an office job then big Lock down damage to my weight and waist line, To complicating my first week of C25K.
I Completed 3 K on run 1 including warm up and down walks and today I managed 3.52 with a higher speed and not as out of breath. Can’t believe I managed this. Why oh why did I wait till now to start running. Thank you everyone for your support from week 1 it has really helped me and my wife to complicate this so far.

I mentioned in another post how when I was playing Rugby, as a prop, running was a punishment. This had been stuck in my head for 20 odd years. I’m on Week 5 now and really enjoying it. My advice is not to try to run, but to jog as slowly as you can, especially in the first couple of weeks. It will help your technique. Once I had this down (around Week 3/4) I actually started enjoying the runs! Also, don’t be afraid to go slowly. Good luck!
Cheers man. Well if a prop can a manage I suppose a Lock can do it, only kidding buddy, nice to know I’m not the only rugby guy trying time do this gives me more confidence.
