I've had soo many personal messages from you all full of concern as to how I am.
Rest assure that Donna is still here.
I've just had the worse past 6 weeks.
Started when I slipped at work, which lead to a painful ankle and back. I decided to try and rest those injuries and all was going well. Then I kind of lost my mojo. Was just feeling down.
Then I had a sinus infection from hell which travelled to my chest and ended me up in hospital as I was finding it difficult to breathe. That all brought me up to the last Friday in December.
I was getting ready for work, would've been my return to work after almost 2 weeks off. I went to pick up the shower hose out the bath and the worst shock run through my lower waist and I couldn't move.
Ended up in hospital again in tears. The pain was soo bad thanks to a Lower back spasm.
So now once again I'm stuck at home trying to recover. It's just been one thing after the next for the past 6 weeks but I have not given up.
I know when I start back running I would've lost alot of the fitness that I worked so hard at to increase but that's ok. I know what to expect now and I can't wait to get back out there.
Not sure how long I'll be out of service for. But I hope it's not long before I'm back to my usual self again and back out there.
In the meantime I still love to read all of your posts of success and thanks again for all the concern.xxx
Oh Donna, you have been through the wars, poor love. I do hope you recover back to full strength soon; don't worry, the running will still be there for you when you are able to return. As you say, you know what to expect now, and we are all here to gee you up and keep that mojo up and running. Try reading through all your old posts...you will inspire yourself, I'll bet! 😘
Oh Donna, how awful. Sending good thoughts your way. Things can only get better now 💐. Weather is atrocious anyway. I’ve not been out for weeks and will have to drop back a bit when I start again. Back on nights all week end now so it wil be next week. Take care .
Oh you poor thing, sounds like an awful time. Rest up and take it easy, running will be waiting for you... you've done so well so far, you'll get back there. Wish you better very soon.
Hey Donna
Sorry to hear all the bad news, sending a virtual hug and all best wishes. Throughout this you have faced lots of challenges and it seems that you are not the sort of person to let this beat you. Keep popping in and you will be ready to go soon I am sure x
Hi Donna, missing you and sorry you are having such a rotten time. - But it will pass and you will enjoy your running again. 😄
Don't worry about loss of fitness, you will get it back again. When I crept cautiously off the IC a recently I was SO happy to be out there again, I just didn't care about how slow/ short the running was! Take care, mend soon xx 😀
Oh crikey , you sure have been through the mill!! Hope you’re on the mend and soon able to get out into the fresh air and back into your running shoes. “Steady as she goes” 👍😊
Wow and I was pissed because I had a 3 day flu. Really puts things into perspective. I know how it feels to want to run but physically unable too. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
Oh no , what a horrible 6wks you’ve had. Things can’t get any worse for you now, the only way is up xx take each day at a time and try to remain positive, we are all here for you xx
