It's been a week since I last posted anything and I'm sure some of you may of wondered "where's Donna disappeared to?"
The past week simply hasn't belonged to myself. What was intended to be a weekend of nightshifts has turned in to 6 nightshifts of 12 hrs plus a night. Tonight is my only night off (hence why I'm posting this) and I'm back on my long nightshifts again tomorrow for the entire weekend.
I've practically been walking around looking like something out of the walking dead show all week. Some days soo tired that I can't even sleep when I get home. Then before you know it, back to work again.
So I'm feeling really disappointed that I haven't even completed the last run of week 4 yet.
Today will be 7 days of not running. I'm sure my legs are grateful for the recovery but my mind and heart are not happy.
I'm going to try my best and go for a run in the morning but I guess my fitness would've declined over the past week and so I might not be able to complete run 3 of week 4. Going to try anyway as I'm not giving up.
My work schedule will settle down early next week and I'll be back out there running again like before, I guess I just have to be patient for now as I'm not superwoman. (Many would beg to differ though).
Have a peaceful night all and I'll update tomorrow.x

Good luck in the morning Donna79 I will be doing that run with you so we will be grand ๐
I had been wondering! Really hope it goes ok, great that you are getting back out there. I don't think a week makes an enormous loss but it sounds like you'll be kind to yourself however it goes.
Sorry to hear work is like that at the moment, you do sound pretty super to me!
Oh poor you. ๐ That sounds awful. Work / life balance is so important I can completely understand why you are fed up. Don't worry about loss of fitness - a week or so is not enough to truly affect that. Just take your next run slow and steady, do lots of stretching after, and you will be fine. x
Oh donna what a shame was wondering where you were , you will smash it when you start up again it might have done your legs good to have a long rest lol ๐ . Good luck for when you can get out hopefully today x
Oh Donna - we did miss you! Completely understandable-that amount of nights would make you feel like a zombie ! When you are feeling upto it get your trainers on and have a slow run - you will soon get back into it xxx
Really feeling for you & how long work hours can take their toll on you Lots of sympathy to you and hope you manage to get back running in the next week. Do a proper warm up and take it really slow and steady (sometimes my running is slower than my walking pace!!) Don't worry about speed.
Awww sorry to hear that Donna, it's a pain when stuff gets in the way, but it's definitely the best policy to take it easy whilst you are tired. The last thing you need is to struggle on a run and demotivate yourself!
I'm going though a slightly bumpy time at the moment, needing to space runs out a bit because of a strain, so I do feel for you. Chin up, you know you have us for support!
Yes!! I have been missing your posts! But WOW at that work schedule! No wonder!!! You can finish week 4!! I have faith in you!
Thank you guys.
Was woken up this morning to an emergency at work and that's where I've been ever since. So running for the rest if the week is out of the window.
More than fed up right now but once this weekend passes, Donna will definitely be back in those bright blue and lime green running shoes and pounding the grass around my local playing field once again.
I guess these things happen for a reason.
Well back to work for me. I might as well move in to this place as I'm here more than anywhere else.
Hi Donna. I know how you feel. I hurt my back beginning week 3 and had to stop for over a week. However able to start again where I left off. Now on week 5 and desperately want to finish the runs before going on holiday Tuesday especially the dreaded 5/3!! But like you I'm stuck with a run of nights.
I've got a nice flat route here in Suffolk - think fuerteventura is rather hilly!!
We will get there in the end and as everyone is saying no pressure on Time limit - just life keeps getting in the way!
You will be fine superwoman. The program is made for people with lives like you. Let it follow your timetable. I mean as long as you don't put in a two year break like did. Happy weekend.
Oh poor you, there's a whole load of us getting the zombie app to run to, and you must be feeling like a zombie.
Still you're not giving up its just going to take a little longer to do the 9 weeks that's all. No great problem there at all.
Good luck and hope you get back to not being tired.
