W5R2--reframing the challenge

I'm not one for seeing this process in terms of challenges or struggles or hurdles or barriers or anything like that...but I'm sure I'm not the first to look at today's programme and think, hang on. You've stuck the three- and the five-minute runs together and I don't get my little stroll in between? Really, Mr Johnson?

I decided to reframe the task. The goal was not to run for as far as possible, but to run as slowly as possible. Because if you run at 0mph you can carry on forever, right?

So now the "challenge" was not to make a big effort, but to conserve a lot of energy. Which I'm already pretty good at.

And it worked. I had a cup of tea before I left (as one should before embarking on any great enterprise) but I reckon I could have taken the cup and saucer with me and not spilled a drop.

So, what's up for R3? Oh, hang on....

Ah sussed! Slow running is luxurious and should be savoured like a fine wine 👍

Good to be a bit Zen about these things Slow is best for this wonderful programme

Cup of tea at the end as well and maybe a Hob knob if there’s one going 🙂☕️🍪

C25K is designed to be at a gentle jog. If both feet are simultaneously off the ground during each stride, then you are running......the pace is irrelevant.

Keep at it and you will be fine.

...sounds like my performance on Monday when I left the run tracker on overnight. 3.64km in 22 hours, both feet off the ground for at least 8 hours of that.
