It is the run most worried about but also most enjoyed.

Go slow, believe in yourself and the programme and you will be be fine.

W5R2 is actually longer between warm up and cool down.

Practice grinning.

Well done on that run! Remember the programme has you ready for the next run each time. Go into it with a positive mind and you will nail it.

You are doing great runner!

Thanks for comments. The next run if I take a day off in between then I need to do it at night after a 12.5 hr shift or get up at 5 and do before work. There’s a thought

Hope you can work it through, does taking an extra rest day or teo help?

No im working 12.5 hours next day too so I need to miss 3 days not sure I want to do that

A three day break will probably be a good idea after three long nights. Why not take it a day at a time and see how you feel.

Honestly it’s amazing how the programme works was never a runner but have exercised over the years so maybe my fitness level not too bad. Loving it itching to get out

I felt very much the same, but this is the run where you learn to trust the programme and not your preconceptions about what you are capable of.

If I was doing it again I might just change the route from my 2x8 minute runs so I wasn't reminded of the bit where I used to have a rest in the middle. But after the 12 minute mark you're back on an 8 minute run and just running down the clock.

Don't worry if you have to miss a few days. It doesn't hurt and often helps. But I know what it's like to be desperate to get out there again.

So do you think I could miss 3 days this week

Extra rest days can do more good than harm.

Great another option for me

I didn't try to run to set weeks but looked on it as a nine stage program. I aimed to run on every other day because I know that sometimes life dictates that I have to stop for 2, 3 or sometimes 4 days. It averaged out as about 3 runs a week. Just don't run on consecutive days.

Will take your advice I’ve been running every second day so far even done consecutive ones so I’m ahead of the 9 weeks will take the 3 day break and not overdo it now

I was worried about the jump from 2x8 min to 20min so was going to re-do the 8min run again but I am not very good with technology and accidenty pressed the wrong button on my phone 😂 and guess what I was on the 20 run. I was not going to let it beat me and did the 20 min much easier than I expected. Never thought I would do it so proud of myself. Another reply you had said believe in yourself how true that is and the programme seems to be working well. I say bring on week 6 🏃🏽‍♀️😁
