Week 9 still not started 😦😦

Good evening my lovelies I hope you are all well 😃

I thought buy this time this week I would have finished wk9 but !!!!! Life just getting in the way at the mo , I’m suffering with back ache at the min so since last week fri I’ve may been able to run 😮😕 I’m so disappointed!!! I’ve come so far and on my last wk it’s all gone pear shaped but hay 😃I’m sure hopefully next week I’ll be back in that treadmill 😆😆. Hope you’ve all had a good week up to now !!! 👍👍😃

Oh Marv, I understand your frustration, but if you have a sore back you do need to rest. Any idea what caused it? Have you seen your GP? Sometimes sore lower back can mean weak abdominal muscles, so once you recover you could try some core strength exercises?

Aww thank you Sadie-runs I’m not to sure why it started a few weeks ago but it’s got worse but I’m going to have a test and see how I go but I think I need to do some core excerise will ask my PT when I book in with her x

Bravo for remaining so positive! I've become a specialist of backache for over 25 years... Rest and take care of it (stretching and massage?): the graduation line is not far away and you'll make it.

It doesn't have to be a 9 week course. It took me much, much longer. If you have an injury you have to rest it. However long it takes, you are still on the course. You will finish it. Week 9 is just a title not a requirement. I did week 2 for weeks and weeks until my knees were up to moving on. Now everything hurts except my knees.

Hi ya love thank you for asking I’ve had 2 weeks off now and I’m back at the gym tomorrow !, I’m feeling a little nervous 😬 but I’m taking it very slowly 😁xx

Hi Marv is it a back ache or back pain? There is a difference. It could be due to new muscles you are using when running. It could also be due to your running shoes are not serving you. I did a gait analysis and needed an insert to support my knee and back ache after thisbnow I don’t have a problem. Might be worth checking. Good luck !!

Hi jan55 I’ve had my gait checked and my shoes 👟 are ok but my back is feeling much better I’ve been off the program for 2 weeks now but I’m planning on going back to the gym tmw but I am going to take it very slowly 😃👍

Sorry to hear 👎😩 but why not just do week 8 / 9 again ... it's better to repeat than let all that work slide ... and stretch well ... I have a bad back too so I feel your pain ...
