I completed Week 9 Run 3 on Thursday! Very happy! π
Since I started this programme on 4th January, Iβve gone out in sub-zero temperatures, a snow storm (with Rocky soundtrack on, brilliant!) jogged around a snowy football field and tackled heavy rain showers. However, the weather conditions on Thursday were without doubt the most testing I have experienced; 35 mph headwind π¨ coming back almost brought me to a standstill! I just kept putting one foot in front of the other and made it to the 30 minutes! π
Thanks to Michael Johnson as well as all the tips and advice from the good people on this forum, I Do not think I would have got through this without it all!
Good luck to everyone currently on the journey, I found it hard going some days, but perseverance and reading the great posts on this forum will help you all the way! ππ»πββοΈ
Now on to the consolidation programme! π

Well done Twiggy! ππββοΈ I didn't quite manage the 5k, I got up to 3.72k, which I'm very happy with! I'll see how the consolidation runs go and whether the distance goes up. However, I'm more focused on getting out and jogging for the 30 minutes for the time being π
Good plan! 5k or not it does not matter. You are running and that is a huge achievement. I have done 4 consolidation runs so far, sticking to 30 min. Probably by the end of March I will consider consolidation completed and will look at different goals and strategies.
Week 9 run 2 this morning. Like you I've ran in the most appalling weather but it's been worth it. Can't wait to do my last run on Wednesday and then I'm moving on Couch to 5K + Speed.π
