It was a cold one this morning!!! But it felt soooo good!
Really enjoyed it all the way through. As I approached the end I knew Sanjeev would say to go a little faster and I didn’t think I’d have the energy, but as the last minute approached out burst this new stride and off I ran to the end 😃
I quite surprised myself, and pleased that I could still push the boundaries when tired. I liked this new pace, it made me want to be able to run the whole way like this-something I’m sure I can work on after graduation!
Someone mentioned running gear in Lidl next week so I’m quite excited to see what they have now it’s getting cold outside-and give back the hubby his tops!
I’m a bit gutted I’m not running tomorrow-love a Sunday morning run!

Can't beat it, I love an early morning run, preferably just after the school run, when everything is quiet and everyone else is enjoying a cuppa after dropping the kids off.
Good run... energy to spare and not leaving it in the tank... how different is that to 6 weeks ago? Tempo runs will help you map that onto your regular run after graduation... always good to find another gear. Keep smiling and rocking it.
Now, as far as I understand the rules... once you borrow a top from your husband, it’s your property, regardless of how many more you buy. Even if said top becomes too big it doesn’t get returned but instead becomes post run comfort-ware.
Yeah felt so good to have a little sprint at the end! I honestly can’t believe how different it is compared to how I felt about week 6! The forum got me through!
So what exactly are tempo runs?
Haha! I may well keep the top! Wonder what else I can ‘borrow’?!?!
Tempo running is shorter distance at a higher pace... so if you can run 5 at comfortable pace you can run 2 at just above this pace. Over time that would become your new comfortable, and so you could do 5 at the new pace. That’s the theory, in practice it makes your comfortable get slightly faster and then it is also slightly faster... so it’s never a jump as such, but a progression.
Bang one of them in a cycle, and interval session, a long run and several recovery runs and you got a good way of adding stamina and speed towards your 5k pace.
Anyway, that’s for in a couple of weeks!
Wives can borrow mostly anything. My mother explained it as “what’s his is mine and what’s mine has nothing to do with him”
Woohoo Marcia! Another smiling post-run pic! 😀😀 Sounds like you’re doing it just right too, enough energy in the tank for a final push. Well done you! 👏👏
Wait - Lidl have new running gear? 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️ I suddenly need ‘groceries’ ......... 😅😅
