In June I've began my journey from couch to 5km. To give a purpose to my training I have subscribe to a 7,1km November 5th. I did it! I did ! I could not imagine that I would run 7,1 km. My time was 45 minutes and pace 6,4km/h. Still I am not an athlete I arrived 58th on 86 runners on the woman group and all over 98th out of 132 participant.
Next part is to get a better pace for the 7,1km, I would like to run next year a 12km or 20km. Lets see but I will keep moving. Thanks NHS!
See... its possible

There are up to 10k apps available to download I believe Stephanie, but on the nhs Bridge to 10k site (the follow on from c25k site) there is a new 10k program starting on 1st December where you will be given the runs you need to complete each week in order to safely increase up to 10k. Ju ju is organising this. It might be fun for you to join in with..
There is an older version already listed in the pinned posts of Bridge to 10k with three different length runs to do each week for 6 weeks building to 10k.
Well done! Feels good doesnโt it ๐. Good luck with your running.
Racing is such a blast, and not something we ever dreamt of doing when we took those first tentative steps back at week 1. There is a race support community here if you want to join ๐๐๐โโ๏ธ
Having a race to look forward to does help with training ๐
Looks like a beautiful place to run - great picture! Congrats on the achievement! This running thing sure is addictive, isn't it ๐. I did a challenging 5k trail race shortly after graduating and can't wait to sign up for their 10 or 20k race next year!
thank you ! Yes its a nice place in the Netherlands Valkenswaard. But let me tell you the story. At the beggining the sun was shining until we got to the start point.
The clouds became dark and grey, suddenly its start to rain and then hail! A good hypothermia session before the start lol Still I enjoyed it
Well done running 7.1K! I can now run 5K but that is about it at the moment but hope to follow the new app and get to 10K soon but not going to rush anything. Good luck carrying on running xx
Yes, itโs great isnโt it. Being part of this forum has given me the confidence to get through the programme. Itโs good to get tips and encourage others ๐
