W6R3 I did it!

So much to my amazement this morning I ran non-sop for 25 minutes. I'm not going to pretend that I did it at any great speed - but I did it and had enough in the tank to put a bit of a spurt on for the last 60 seconds. I know how that I could go a bit faster - I might, I might not - I shall just see how I feel when I next run and the main aim will be to complete the run!

A big huge well done to you 5dogs 😁 it sounds to me like you are feeling the thrill of discovering that you have what it takes after all :). And a great feeling that is 😊 I think you’re right not to worry over speed. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

Congratulations 5dogs on completing run 6 of C25K, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3/25 minute runs 🏃 😊 👍

Well done. 👍🎉 It’s a brilliant plan, isn’t it? You’re showing the right attitude too - complete those runs and the speed will settle in its own time. 👏🏼

Sometimes you just have to believe you can...

I'm 59 years old - yes I go to the gym 3 x a week but running for more than 10 minutes is all new to me. Week 6 takes you back a step if you look at it - you end week 5 with a 20 min run then start week 6 with shorter distances. It's all very clever how it's been put together.

Don’t those “I did it!” times feel so good each week? Do concentrate on the warm up now as you need those muscles to be good and warm before you start all this really great running, to help ensure stress free runs.

Well Done you Runner You!

I managed w6r3 today too - after not managing it in Tuesday! I think starting slow is the key. It's a great feeling to finish week 6 and be called a runner 😀

Well done, I amazed myself how much I enjoyed W7,8 and 9. It's a brilliant part of the journey getting to the grand finale now. I wish you the very best, keep going, it only gets better and better. Take it easy, this is your pace for now, you have plenty of time during consolidation to work on pace. Have fun in the final weeks, they go by so fast :(
