Week 8 Finished

I went for my run this morning before work which is a novelty for me but I knew that today was going to be mad busy and I'd not want to go out again once I got home this evening.

Week 8 Run 3 - Miss Millican playing up in the app again but fortunately I had set my fitbit anyway so I could time just the running part. First 5 mins went past and yes I was getting my pace now. Half way bell went and no shin splints hoorah.

I was enjoying my run round the farmers field. Then she said I still had 5 mins left and I was at that point beginning to struggle but I had a quick pep talk to myself and I slowed a tad and got to the end without stopping.

Huge relief to have finished the week 8 runs. Big grin. I was extremely pink faced and I'm sure you could have fried eggs on my hot cheeks - but I did it ;0)

I know, sooo close now; who'd of thought it, certainly not me when I started this. Trying to take it really carefully now as I have my first ever 5k booked for 29/10 when I do the Poppy Run eek me in a public run?!?

Is the Poppy Run actually a race/run or is it like Race for Life when it's just about getting around the course in your own way in your own time?

No it's not a race, they set you off in groups so those that want to run to a time you can but in other groups people do it with kids and dogs, it's just a lovely charity 5k for a fabulous cause.

Yes I shall start that soon

Fabulous job. I see the graduation podium in the distance; just 3 more runs to get you to it. Enjoy week 9 :)
