I cannot believe I'm saying goodbye to W7, which has been my favourite week so far. Running in the woods is just wonderful and I love the fact that the walking and running now lasts the length of an album, as I feel I've been on a musical as well as a running journey. Walked home with Coldplay singing it's 'such a perfect day' in my ear - hard to disagree with that 😊
I'm daring to look ahead to running beyond W9 and have decided to aim to run for the length of an album, mostly 35 mins, and work through all the CDs I never manage to listen to. It will distract me from clock or speed watching while hopefully I consolidate my strength and stamina!
Wishing you all perfect days 😊

Congrats, I liked W7, apart from the stomach bug I had while doing it. Some people say to do one long run a week and then either shorter/faster runs or intervals to help build stamina/speed.
I plan on re-running the program, running the run sections and jogging the walk.
Music offers a much more elastic concept of time, much more to my liking than the stopwatch 😊 Somehow it's easier to run until the end of a song than for another three minutes - even when going uphill!
I absolutely love how running melds so beautifully with music. I was thinking today (W4R1) that I’m now running for longer than most songs last for. I’m hoping that one day I’ll be able to run for the length of Tubular Bells!
Thank you for your lovely encouragement, Jan, there's no turning back now even if I take months to complete W9. Fresh air, exercise and music - irresistible! 😃
I really enjoyed week 7 as well. I think it was because I started to really feel like a runner! Doing run 1 of week 8 tomorrow as part of Park run so hopefully it will feel as good!
