Righteo, just finished my week 3 runs. Had a little sneaky peek at week 4 and kinda wish I hadn’t!! 5 minutes?! Maaaaaaan I’m gonna be running slower than I walk to get through that! 😆

You can and will do this just remember slow and steady, keep going 😉

Does it matter how slow or fast you go providing you complete the run? I admit, I started week 1, 2 and 3 at a faster pace than what I run (jog) at BUT it allows me to complete the longer runs that come in Weeks 5 onwards.

Slow and steady WILL get you to the end of the run and the end of the program, once there, you can work on pace and stamina that will allow you to run faster.

This programme works by taking you in carefully calibrated steps from the couch to be able to run for 30 minutes by the end of week 9. It worked for me and for thousands of others; so it will work for you too. Have faith in the C25K and in yourself. Positive thinking is the key- oh and running at a sustainable pace :)

Ha ha! Don't worry about speed, focus on pace and finishing the 5 minutes. You can do it, trust me. I felt exactly the same but pleasantly surprised myself! It is a sneaky little programme – you build up stamina without even realising it! You won't realise it until you test yourself with slightly longer runs…5 mins? A breeze! Just go super slow to start, and if you are feeling comfortable, up the pace a teeny-weeny bit for the last minute.

I am slower than Slow Jo McSlow, winner of last year's Mrs Slow Competition. But don't care. Will work on speed later, once I have completed the programme and got my heart, lungs and legs in good shape. :-)

Onward and upwards, dear! x

lol love it :)

It makes me smile to be reminded of those days when I too thought 5 minutes sounded impossible. I'm now about to start week 9 and that makes me smile even more! This programme works brilliantly. You can take it at your own pace but never be afraid to just have a go at those scary sounding times.

Literally, keep calm and carry on! Good luck :-)
