I'm so pleased I haven't given up yet. Week 3 run 2 was so hard but having a six month old that likes to keep us awake at night certainly hadn't helped. Today was much easier and I'm happy to move on to week 4, dreading it but happy to move on π
I didn't think I'd get this far. I'm 20 st and it's been so tough but I'm finding it so much fun and I think this is the way forward for me. I'm sleeping better, when the baby lets me! And making much better choices.
This is my first post here, I've been following quietly for a week or so now and you are all so motivating. Thank you x

It is great to see a youngster amongst all us wrinklies. You have so much to gain from learning to run, especially with a small child in your life. Just those few minutes of "me time" each week will boost your mood and coping abilities.
I admire you for doing this, when it would be so much easier just to slob out. The level of inactivity amongst some young mothers, which I am afraid to say is very obvious outside any school gate, is something I find very disturbing. It is a fact that when my kids were at school, the average size of their peer's mothers was considerably smaller than today.
Go for it. You can be fitter, healthier and set a wonderful example to your offspring.
Thank you. I wouldn't say I was young though. (32) I have 3 girls under five so I'm definitely enjoying the "me time". I've noticed a huge difference in my mood and in fact the house is much tidier as I'm even more active around the house.
Belinda you are young!, when I hit 50 I was told it was the new 40 by my GP! so that makes you 20.... Running gives you wonderful me time you're so right, and its a great thing that doing something gives you more energy. Certainly I am achieving more things now and I believe it's a direct result of running. So well done you on kicking the couch. Good luck and happy running
Well done Belinda_amy πon completing Wk3.. Well done for starting the program, it really works and every run you have done builds your stamina ready for the next one..
Good luck with W4 R1. Take the run sections nice and slow and steady. Just a light jog. Do some gentle stretching when you get home after your warm down walk, while your muscles are still warm.
I am impressed! Running and taking care of 3 little ones! Good for you. Being a mum is demanding (I hear!) and your running time is YOUR time. Don't dread week 4. Week 4 is lovely, my favourite yet. π Keep it up. x
Thanks Sadie it's hard work but so rewarding, as is running. I'm actually quite looking forward to week four. I'll let you all know how I get on on Tuesday. I'll be taking the baby in the pram next week while the bigger two are at school/nursery as hubby is working away next week. X
I'm absolutely loving it reetm I only joined this week too as I noticed the link in my app after a run. If I can do it you can too. Best of luck for Monday x
Wow Belinda...you are doing so well...none of my children have been good sleepers so I know exactly where you're coming from with that one, I don't think I could've completed this programme on empty but you are well on your way...don't dread week 4...you'll be brilliant, just remember the words of our mentors..slow & steady..keep us posted
Congratulations Belinda, not only on the running but for actually making the time with little ones to care for. I'm a Mum as well but my youngest is 12, so not too bad but I remember those days with a baby to care for.
You're doing great. Keep it up. Funny enough the running helps us in ways you wouldn't think possible. Better sleep, (that will happen for you again soon), more energy, body changes for the better. Don't know about you but I'm loving it.
Keep us updated as we all love to read how everyone is progressing. Wish you well.x
Just take it very slow and very steady.... and, I know you will be aware of the real demand that small one is making on you. Brilliant that you are doing this..
Link this with some exercise on rest days.. it will help with stamina and strength.. you can do some with baby too I have some links which i will try and find for you?
You will find it so helpful.. my granddaughter is 11 months nearly.. and I know I have so much more energy to keep up with her because of my running I am hoping that her Mama and Dad are going to invest in a running buggy, so I can run with her.. we just walk for miles currently on rest days !!
The physical and mental benefits are amazing and if you keep posting, you will get great support and encouragement
Thank you so much. Would really appreciate those links. I've just this afternoon said to my husband that I need to add in some more exercise now I'm feeling stronger. Was thinking of doing the Gillian Michaels kettle bell stuff again but not sure if it might be too much x
