Week 5 Complete (finally)

As expected, I went back to school and the marking etc got in the way of my running. After forcing myself to run, I have finally completed Week 5 this morning.

It’s not like I have been completely away from the running scene. I ran my second Parkrun last weekend and beat my last run by three minutes (34:41). I also beat my fastest 1K, 2K, 5K, half mile and 2 mile records.

I’m running tomorrow morning in the Macc5K charity run. Time to earn those medals and raise money for causes.

Well done...but...no rest day?😯 Be cafreful or you may injure yourself..

I know. It’s a risk but I’ve spent a lot of time conditioning my legs and bought insoles to cushion my impact. So far, I’ve not had any issues but I will take it easy tomorrow.

Well done to you! Be careful with the no rest day though. I can sympathise with the school issue, although I’m a TA I am knacked in the week. Always with children! Keep going .. good luck tomorrow

The maddest thing I’ve done is ran 6.1K on a Friday after school. Silly idea 😊

Crikes! Where did you find the energy? Or were you elated that your week was done .. 😂

in reply toSadeskin

It started with me running W4R3 and then I ran more to complete my circuit around the neighbourhood. Once I got to where I started, I realised I had ran 6.1K. Sore legs was an understatement.

Just uploaded my Strava for that night into the post. Haha.

Wow! Duracell bunny! I am impressed. (And tired just thinking about your run schedule!) Well done - and take care!

Haha. Thanks. I don’t feel like I have a work-life balance if I don’t run. I go out of my way to do something active even if it is the seven minute workout.
