W4 R1 Soaked and exhausted

Having moved on to week 4 and being a complete novice when it comes to running I've been happy with my progress so far no matter how tiring it's been but tonight was tough and to make things worse the rain just got heavier and heavier and I struggled with that final 5 minute run and I was considering going back to week 3, I'll see how it goes on Wednesday.

Do that run again on Wednesday as w4 r2 and you'll be amazed at the difference to today. The heavy rain won't have helped so hopefully that will improve on Wednesday for you. If you did the session successfully, struggle or not, you should move on to the next one. Each run is meant to challenge. Well done on going out in the rain though. I seemed to time tonight perfect as the half an hour or so I was out it didn't rain, but heavy rain before and after!

I will, I certainly feel better mentally now and looking forward to the next run, been watching many videos on tips and warm up exercises too, hopefully mother nature will be kinder next time, thanks.

It'll be fine, maybe even really good, I bet. Your body just gets amazingly fitter each time!

If you did the session then move on 🙂✔️

Just go nice and slowly. No hurry

Get a lightweight run jacket and a cap 🙂

You did the run and in not the best of conditions well done so now move on to the next run, each one you do makes you stronger and prepares you for the next one.

Just remember take it slow and steady, you can't be to slow!

Thanks mate, that's the idea. Keep it slow and steady, Mo Farah has nothing to worry about, for now anyway.
