Huge crowd at Brundall parkrun when I got there. Found a Marshall, had a rousing cheer when they asked who were the newbies. Lol. I started last and finished last but I bloody did it. I walked the first 5 mins whilst they galloped ahead like gazelles and then I did my 25 mins, some of it uphill. A first. Killer. I'd finished my 25 mins on a downhill of lap 2.5 so just walked the uphills and jogged the downhills on the last lap and a half, a marshall walked behind me, he's doing a half Marathon tomorrow. A whole crowd were waiting for me to cross the finish line. Cheering, so I cheered the hell back with the biggest grin ever. It took me about 50 mins I reckon. I was chatting with the 80 year old who'd overtaken me on lap 2, with a well earned cuppa before realizing I'd left my fitbit on. Lol
I was scanned so I don't know what to do to find my proper time. EDITED: Just got email result 55.05 oh dear, but better than the fitbit version. π I now have something to beat.
They're doing a fancy dress pirate theme in 2 weeks I hear. Lol. Make a change from going as MR BLOBBY Pmsl

Imagina a blotchy, pink Mr Blobby on Valium....... DATS ME at the finish line. Can't get over the friendliness of everyone there. Patting me on the back as they passed, Marshals egging me on. Someone left a note on my windscreen (Carol n Martin) congratulating me. It was awesome. Killer tho' as you know.
You make it sound like the only place to be on a Saturday morning! I can't begin to imagine getting to that stage, but you make it sound like it's worth persevering. And well done!!
