I've just completed Week 2 and in amongst the post run euphoria and patting myself on the back for having got this far I have a niggling worry about Week 3. At the end of every 90 second running segment I was willing Sarah Millican to tell me it was time to walk again- can I really run for longer than that? I don't want to plague myself with self doubt before the next run but I'm definitely having a Week 3 Wobble!
I'm loving reading everyone's experiences. You are all so inspirational!

I too felt the same as you are feeling now but somehow I managed to get through the runs in WK3 using this forum as the people are the best in the world!!
Take it slow and steady as I found this was the best piece of advice that you can get!!
Rather strange reading this post as last night I was out for my run and as I approached the point that was the end of my 1st 90 second run I had to chuckle to myself as I sailed on.
Only a few short weeks back I gasped my way to this point desperate for the 90 seconds to end
So in short yes you'll be fine, every run leads you on to the next run a little challenging at times but that's the idea.
That is so reassuring - thanks so much for taking the time out to respond. This is the most supportive forum ever! Reading everyone's stories really helps to motivate me and gives me a big boost of confidence.
You are feeling what many before you have felt, I promise - just believe in yourself and the programme and remember to slow it down a bit more if it feels really hard. Also, it's worth knowing that many folk repeat a run or even a week if they really don't feel ready to move on but if it's just mental, try and kick those Gremlins to the kerb and imagine yourself succeeding and coming on here to tell us! I'm in the same place as you and although it felt ok today doing the 90 sec runs, I am aching all over and not sure about repeating or going for it! I think I will see how I feel on Sunday, although I am planning on giving it my best shot. If it is uncomfortable, then I will repeat this week but I am going For it We CAN do this xx

Never in a month of Sundays did I think I would enjoy running the small amount I am doing. I am hoping that this will continue until the end! Good luck and let me know how it goes. When are you doing the next session? Xx
I did the first run of Week 3 yesterday - wasn't half as difficult as I had built it up to be in my head! How are you getting on? xx
Don't wobble, there's really no need I promise. rolysmate and I were in the same graduation class, and we went through the plan and came out the other end smiling, no scrub that, grinning.
Week 2 has been building you for Week 3, yes it stretches you a bit, but I honestly think W3 is a great foundation. It's teaching you to extend your time and stamina.
Take it nice and easy andnew promise you'll be fine...

Slow and steady and just follow the programme... trust it and believe in yourself... you will be ready for each run, and each run makes you stronger...
You are going to think that at the end of every week till about week 7. Always seems too big a step. Never is. The people who designed this knew what they were doing.
Here's what's hard to comprehend: the human body is FREAKISHLY GOOD at getting fit. I can hardly believe it, a few weeks ago I thought my heart would burst and now here I am running 10 and 20 minutes a stretch (and tomorrow 25 minutes) without a problem other than my legs getting tired. You'd think we're good at getting unfit but NO, just a teeny TINY half-hour of exercise completely transforms you. Watch and wonder, fellow traveller.
Yes you can do it. I had many times when I was praying for the instruction to walk but the programme works by pushing you just far enough and not too much. I find counting towards the end sometimes helps and I always tell myself that I am counting too quickly and so will have to count to 90 for a minute then the minute is up before I get there - sounds daft that I can just fool myself that easily but....
Thanks so much for all your amazing encouragement. You are all amazing! With all your wise words floating through my head I headed out in the rain (running in the rain is fast becoming my favourite thing!) and found Week 3 Run 1 to be far easier than I had built it up to be in my head. What a feeling - I think I've still got some of the post-run buzz!
