Week 7 run 2 - much needed solitude

Hi everyone πŸ‘‹πŸ» hope you're all well. I am no longer going to refer to a run the day after planned as a day late. I am not going to use the negativity that brings with it. My Thursday run turned into a Friday run due to very good, if very stressful reasons. Wednesday night I took Erica to visit her friend in the Manchester Children's Hospital. On the way into the car park, so expletive threw a rock at my car windscreen. It didn't smash but it does need a replacement as t can't be repaired. I had both kids in the car and it shook both Erica and myself. We saw the guy run away, we hadn't seen him before as he was above the entrance waiting for someone which just happened to be me. But what makes me most angry is that he had zero regard for whoever was in the car. I could easily have crashed, or could easily have smashed the glass and hurt the kids. He was a grown man!!!???

Then yesterday by beautiful boy fell at nursery and hurt his face. Looks a right mess but he's smiling. So last night was not the right night for a run. I was too angry and I know the gremlins would have got to me easily.

Tonight, definitely no gremlins. It wasn't easy at all. It felt harder than both of the other 25 min runs. But then I ran out of time just outside the house so I clearly ran that little bit faster. Metre gain of 32m tonight too. I ran past 2 of my friends which felt really good. They waved happily as they know I'm doing this program. So all is good. Well apart from the windscreen that can't be replaced until Tuesday!

I treated myself to some bath salts designed to remove toxins from aching muscles. Think I'm in need of that tonight. And Erica won a fairy garden competition with over 370 votes for her hard work. So lots of positives, and we can't control the idiots of this world. Only our own actions. I gave a stranger my car park ticket from today so she didn't have to pay, I let a man cross the road in front of me as he was on an electric scooter and needs to cross where the road dropped. I'll carry on doing small bits of good in the hope that karma bites for the idiot.

Picture tonight is one of my cats, Zico, following me on my cool down lap.

I think I need to if I'm honest. I needed to work it all out in my head. It is really upsetting me that my babies could've been injured. X

Sorry to hear it has been such a bad couple of days for you and relieved to know that you are all well. You are right not to let the bu@@ers grind you down. Well done on keeping the chin up.

Wow poor you - keep on being the lovely human being you seem to be and let karma deal with those others x

An inspiring post and an amazing attitude. You're right in that you can only control how you respond in those situations. And you laced up. Big respect!

I want the kids to grow up with a positive outlook. They'll pick up on what I do and how I react. I'm

Angry about it but I don't want them to know that.

It beggars belief that such an idiot could do that to anyone, let alone a mum with her little ones in the car. Poor you and Erica especially must have been traumatised. I believe in karma payback, you are one of the kind karma givers, the fool in the car park, well one day payback will occur I am sure. So well done on getting out there after all that stress. And even nicer running past friends, how good is that? So glad that you are okay and Erica winning a fairy garden competition, now that feels like good karma. Best of luck for next time out.πŸƒπŸΌ And I hope the bath worked..πŸ›€πŸΌ

The bath was lovely. The gin helped too πŸ™‚

Aha -have you tried rhubarb gin? My new summer favourite with ginger ale.... bizarre combo but it works! Hope they catch that creep.

I'm very sorry that you had such a cruddy day, but I love your attitude. I wish more people thought that way, the world would be a fantastic place. 'We can't help everybody, but everybody can help somebody' has always been my credo.

Speaking of which, check out whether the hospital has cameras in their carpark. That loon could seriously injure somebody.

The management company who runs the car park are on it. There aren't any cameras on the entrance, only the pay stations. But they're contacting the security who cover the student accommodation next to the car park as they may have a camera on the place he was.

So sorry about all the anguish you have been through. You did so well to reschedule your run and to get out there. A great achievement.

My family are firm believers of what goes around, comes around ( karma). Its great news for you and all your lovely good actions, not so good for those who do bad things.

Take good care of you and yours, you are doing great!
