Hi everyone ππ» hope you're all well. I am no longer going to refer to a run the day after planned as a day late. I am not going to use the negativity that brings with it. My Thursday run turned into a Friday run due to very good, if very stressful reasons. Wednesday night I took Erica to visit her friend in the Manchester Children's Hospital. On the way into the car park, so expletive threw a rock at my car windscreen. It didn't smash but it does need a replacement as t can't be repaired. I had both kids in the car and it shook both Erica and myself. We saw the guy run away, we hadn't seen him before as he was above the entrance waiting for someone which just happened to be me. But what makes me most angry is that he had zero regard for whoever was in the car. I could easily have crashed, or could easily have smashed the glass and hurt the kids. He was a grown man!!!???
Then yesterday by beautiful boy fell at nursery and hurt his face. Looks a right mess but he's smiling. So last night was not the right night for a run. I was too angry and I know the gremlins would have got to me easily.
Tonight, definitely no gremlins. It wasn't easy at all. It felt harder than both of the other 25 min runs. But then I ran out of time just outside the house so I clearly ran that little bit faster. Metre gain of 32m tonight too. I ran past 2 of my friends which felt really good. They waved happily as they know I'm doing this program. So all is good. Well apart from the windscreen that can't be replaced until Tuesday!
I treated myself to some bath salts designed to remove toxins from aching muscles. Think I'm in need of that tonight. And Erica won a fairy garden competition with over 370 votes for her hard work. So lots of positives, and we can't control the idiots of this world. Only our own actions. I gave a stranger my car park ticket from today so she didn't have to pay, I let a man cross the road in front of me as he was on an electric scooter and needs to cross where the road dropped. I'll carry on doing small bits of good in the hope that karma bites for the idiot.
Picture tonight is one of my cats, Zico, following me on my cool down lap.
