Week 3 is done... running for 3 minutes was hard the first time but it did get easier... although I woke up today with a tough backache and I'm worried... but I'll head to swimming pool today for some relaxing time to see if it helps. I certainly hope so because can't wait to start week 4!!!

Well done on doing week 3. Make sure you are nice and rested for W4. Backaches never a good thing, but fingers crossed you'll be fine

I found the backache occurred when I was looking at the ground too much. Try to keep your head up and look forward while running. Also relax your shoulders :)

Opposite while swimming, try to not do too much breast stroke which can make you arch your back, do some nice relaxed floating at the end too - enjoy.

Thanks that's helpful. I've certainly noticed y'day I tend to look at the ground instead of keeping head up. And yes, going to the pool is more for floating and gentle swim than proper exercise, a sort of resting but with gentle movements instead of the couch!

Stretch, swim, sleep and slow and steady... land lightly and try to relax into the runs:)
