W3 R3 - Wow

Well, after a slightly longer than expected break, I was planning on doing this Saturday but I'm so glad I didn't.

Anyway, due to unexpected family commitments, i.e. an early birthday surprise 'drop in' by family members I was unable to do W3R3 as planned, I was a little miffed to say the least.

Anyway, yesterday, my wife and I ended up looking for a new pair of shoes for her, she had heard a lot about Sketchers and wanted to try some, we tried a few places but none had half sizes in so we ended up at a Sketchers shop and not just a normal shoe shop.

I wasn't looking for myself as I have a pair of Nike Air Max that I use BUT, it was buy one get one half price and I found a pair of Gen 5 GoGa Run that ended up costing me £15, at that it was well worth trying them.

In the past I've suffered from tight calves during and after a waddle/jog but today, nothing, I really can't believe the difference, I finished W3 R3 and on the last 3 minute run I continued to jog for an extra minute just because I could, I know the Sketchers haven't done anything for my fitness level but the tightness in my calves wasn't there and I did the same stretching/warm-up as I normally do.

I did extend the warm down walk to 4 minutes to match the extended final jog but here's to W4 on Thursday.

But for today, it's shower time and the poached eggs with avocado on brown toast washed down with a cup of green tea.

Bring it on!

OldFloss, thanks for the advice regarding ignoring the pace, I really appreciate it. After this mornings waddle, I'm about to step up to jogging and move away from waddling!!!!

To all on here, thanks for the comments and the motivation, I don't quit easily but the extra motivation you all provide to people you don't know is inspiring.

Thank you all.

There once was a runner name LeeU

Who waddled and said, "Oh phew!"

My AirMax are toast

I love GoGas the most

Passing by, must fly, so see you!

Jogging Limerick ! As promised! The waddling is no more :)

A sprightly young runner, LeeU

Had a fancy to try something new.

He waddles no more

When he goes through that door

He jogs... like a jogger… on cue!!!

So Skechers evidently give you wings.... someone better tell Red Bull to change their advertising

Not what you're looking for?
