Well I've just started doing c25k I did my first run/walk today.

My main aim is to start getting fitter and lose some weight. I currently weigh 13st 2lb. I need to get to at least 11st. I'm hoping c25k will help me. I have 3months to make a real difference. Any positive motivation would be great. Thanks x

Hi there and well done:)

Slow and steady is the way... don't push too hard and make sure you take your rest days. Although the programme is not specifically for weight loss, it may help... especially combined with a healthy eating regime :)

Have you taken a peek at the Weight Loss Forum... quite a few of the runners on here, are on there also and find it works really well :)

How do I find the weight loss forum. Something I would definitely be interested. I have such strong reasons to lose this weight. But I need to see results (not just weight loss) mentally and physically.

I've really lost my mojo over the last few yrs. X

There is so much to be gained from the programme and so many of us have benefited in so many ways ...:)

We are really great on here too, at finding lost mojos... they try to hide, but we nearly always find them!

I thought this was a post that I'd written. My god you sound so much like me haha. You're the exact weight as I am and I have reason to lose weight, not just because I want to look better.

I will cheer you along and hope you succeed with the running and weight loss.

I have heard and read that running can aid weight loss. Naturally, we need to adopt a healthy eating regime too. My diet is pretty good, I'm just stuck with trying to lose the weight. Exercise is bound to tone the body and help with weight loss though. Good luck lovely, I'm with you all the way x

Ok i started my first run today w1 run 1, i have run previously but have gained serious weight since
