I have found the health unlocked forum really supportive and really helps my motivation so here goes in consolidation community! I finished c25k on Friday, then on Saturday joined in a game of rounders on the village green. I learned: running fast as possible after a ball or round the pitch is very different from the Japanese slow running I now enjoy! Really felt it yesterday, and nearly talked myself out of the run today. But I’ve done it, it was hard, and less distance covered than on Friday, but so pleased I got out there.
I think I have a 3 week plan worked out. That is to do the 30 minute runs 3 times a week! 😊

Hi well done & welcome to consolidation. Your plan is exactly what I did for three weeks then I did Stepping Stones & Speed which I managed but decided to consolidate a bit more and this morning did 35 mins. Nowhere near 5k yet but I just want to increase distance gradually & concentrate on form!😀have a great week!
Thank you. I haven’t found that programme yet, I’ll look for it. I have a few weeks to find it! 😊 Well done increasing your time running! Have a good week too 👍
Hello!!! I’ve been thinking of you! I’m getting the runs done, last week though was REALLY hard. Today at the start of week 2 I’ve made myself slow down again .... it was better. Still that last 10 minutes is challenging. But last week was really busy with visitors and bike rides ( up hills!!) which made me think I may need to reconsider my rest days! How are yours going? Hope you’re getting out for the running.
Well done for getting them done! And for the uphill bike rides 😳. I did my 4th run this morning. Doing 30 min runs at the moment, havent really got any kind of plan in place after that, but have noticed my pace is improving with each run which is nice! Its hard getting them done without the c25k guide to follow. I’ve been using the Nike Run Club app which is pretty good, it tells me my pace, distance covered and time remaining at each KM which is helpful! Glad to see you’re getting them done still 😊
Well done you too! And increasing your pace.! 👏 I’ve been repeating week 9 runs, for the familiarity of Sanjeev‘s coaching. Trying to set goals which for now is JUST GET THE RUN DONE 😂😂 12 weeks to form a habit - almost there 😊 I might do something wild like vary the route for the 3rd run this week😊😊 I’ll look at the Nike app, for now I’m still using the MapMyRun together with c25k repeats.
Morning! How’s it going? Week 2 of consolidation done and dusted. I’ve deliberately slowed down even more and had an amazingly good run today ! I kept going and did 5k!! (36 minutes) 😊
Hi! Just read your post on your 5K. Fabulous! Ive managed to get to 4K in 30 minutes which I am super pleased with. I plan on doing another 2 30 min runs next week, then as I have Friday off I’m going to push to 5K. When I think of it, its only another 7/8 minutes but I feel I need to have the day off work to do it 😂 rather than feeling conscious of time. Im still really enjoying the runs. And I’m still amazed I can do this!
Well done you! 4K is brilliant. I have the same goals for next week, which is when I thought I’d try 5k. I was out a bit earlier today and it was a bit cooler, that must make a difference. Totally stunned I could keep going. Here’s to our week 3 of consolidation 👍
I’m hoping I’ve found the secret to properly enjoying all the run. Slowing down....
