Hello, I'm new! I just did my first C25K run! Tired but feeling really good that I've done it! I'm a bit nervous about week 3 as it looks like an enormous jump! Anyone else just started?

Well done on your first run, I know it looks very daunting at first, my only advice would be to concentrate on your next run, looking too far ahead will only lead to worry, stress and self doubt!!

You can do it!

Thank you! Yes, I'm just going to focus on my next one - which is tomorrow! I'm actually quite excited!

Well done you! Follow the programme and trust your body -- you'll be okay!

Well done in Yorkshire... 😊wk 1 R1 done. Try not to look ahead, just do each run as it comes, take your rest days and trust the plan. You will be ready and you will be able to do it.

Do the running sections nice and slowly, you are building stamina there is no need for speed.

Loads of people have just started, at diffetent weeks or have graduated.. I'm sure someone will respond who has just done R1 too!

Good luck and keep posting. You can do this.

I started today too. Haven't looked at what's to come - just going to do what they tell me run by run. That way it won't freak me out!!

Hello! I don't think I could go into a run not knowing at all but I really like how you just get told when to run! It makes it all so much easier!

Nervous about W3? You should NOT take a look at W5, then :-)

Just do the weeks, one at a time as they come up.

The program conditions you physically for what is to come.

This forum conditions you mentally for what is to come :-)

Hi and welcome.. loads of Newbies arriving here... :)

Keep it slow and steady, try to focus on the now... not the next...listen to your body.. which will protest a bit at first...and take your rest days too...:)

Other forms of exercise can help on the rest days, improving stamina and strength...

Just go for it and enjoy the journey :)

As has been said, focus on the run you are on. Week 3 will come when you've been running for two weeks and have no less than 6 runs under your belt. You will be ready for it then, and we will be so proud of you when you post on here to tell us you've done it!

I've just completed week 1 week 2 starting tomorrow. I'm trying not to think ahead too much and just take each run as it comes. I have surprised myself that I can shuffle/jog for 60 seconds already. I

Just finished w1 today. It was tough at the time but nothing like I was expecting. Good luck with it, and don't panic. If you don't feel ready you can always repeat a week. 👍

Hi, I started last week and I've got R2 W2 tomorrow.

I've not even looked at week 3 yet as I don't want to get freaked out,I've heard the jump in running time is quite big so I'm just going to get this week out of the way, then when next Monday comes around I'll just do as Jo tells me.

Well done on getting started, that's been the hardest part for me so far

I've just come back from W3R3.

When I did W1R1 I didn't think I would even be able to run for 1 minute - and I hardly could. Now I can run for 3 minutes without stopping. I won't say that's it's easy, I find it very hard - but I CAN DO it! - and feel great about having improved so much.

Good Luck to you :)

I'm a newbie too. I'm taking it one run at a time. If I'd been asked last week if I could run for 8 minutes in total, regardless of rest walks, I'd have said no way. But I have - twice! Keep your head up and concentrate on the seconds of each run counting down & remember that feeling when you complete it.

Thanks everyone! And congrats and good luck to you all! I am now just really excited (this may be because I've forgotten about the pain of the run on my day off!)

I did Week1Run3 today! I found it a bit easier than run 2. I don't know if that's just one of those things or if I'm getting better! Am looking forward to (rather than dreading) week 2 now!
