Week 5

Just finished week 5 run 3 . It was rough!! I did the 20 mins without stopping, but it was a fight with the gremlins. A bit of gritted teeth going on. Question is what now? Do I repeat the last 2 runs so I feel more comfortable, or push on with week 6? I would value your opinions. I will of course take them all then probably do the opposite!

Congratulations! I would carry on with the programme as designed by some 'very clever people' :)

Just like the rest of the plan, if you complete the run, you carry on, of course!!

W6R1 is not too physically demanding, but it has a curious psychological effect after the elation of W5R3 and it catches quite a few people out. Be warned and start off slow.

Many congratulations. Keep running, keep smiling.

I'd just carry on. I've had a couple of runs that for no discernible reason have been much rougher than the rest, then the one after has been more manageable again. I think sometimes it just happens.

From the C25K web page:

You will have good runs and bad runs. Accept it and don’t spend too much time analysing the how and why. Even a bad run is good for you.
