Week 8 and a Minor Break Through.

In the spirit of Irish John's reminder that it's important to celebrate the positives I just wanted to post that after a series of really hard runs (all of week 7 and most of week 8) my final run of week 8 felt just a tiny bit easier and at last I felt as though I was beginning to see a pay off for all my hard work (and yes.....grim determination 😏). I am still running implausibly slowly and don't seem to be able to go any faster but hey, next time I will run implausibly slowly for 30 minutes and once I've done that twice more I'll graduate πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“ and how cool will that be? Already planning what music to run to once I am a Laura-free zone.

Thats the spirit. 😊

There will (Ihope) be a time soon when after the first 8 to 10 mins of your run, you feel your breathing relax and your legs just take over and just for a bit the running becomes effortless. Yes. Its getting in the zone and its great. Hope you feel this soon.😊

Good luck with Week 9.The podium is in sight...

Implausibly slow... no...the slower the better..embrace the slowness:)

Very well done.. plodding gently towards Graduation is what many of us do..if we have sense.. the speedsters, who have got the wrong idea about the ethos of the C25K programme , and the gentle, steady structured build up, usually end up on the IC, or stop running all together!

You are doing this in the best way..your way!!! Very well done.

PS

Poor Laura... you may find you miss her after Graduation.. many of us experienced withdrawal symptoms and often have Laura re-visited sessions :)

Looking forward to your next post :)

Yes I didn't really mean that about Laura - I love her and now Julie too! I just meant it's exciting to plan what I'm going to do after graduation.

It's the legs that are the problem! But I am hoping that my muscles will build up or get used to running or something.
