W9R2 - best run yet...

Felt tired and overworked recently but still went out for my run this morning not expecting it to be great but it went really well, nice and easy pace, could have kept going had I not had to go to work.. Great sunrise weather too, was really light now where pitch black at the same time when I started all this.

Struggled slightly in first 5 minutes with breathing due to asthma aggravated by the cold air at 3 degrees and on the warm up walk to actually warm up... but after that I felt really good, no stitch at all today weirdly.

Next run day Thursday but not sure if I will have time before work to do a proper W9R3 run or if I will have to cut it short and do that Saturday, depends what time I get up!

Well done, sounds like another lovely run in the daylight for you :) . Yup, those first mins are a bugger aren't they?! I cough and splutter as if I smoke 40 a day, and just cannot get my wind at all :o . Wonder what your asthma review will be like next time you have one? Don't rush the last run, make sure you can make the most of it and enjoy it, because you'll never ever do this first third first run again (if you get my drift) ...xx

It's really weird, I don't understand what happens to the body in the run to find it easier after I've got going as my breathing improves?! I'm excited to see how my next asthma review goes, will ask for specific peak flow readings to compare!

and yes, I want this R3 to go well, I don't want to ruin it, I don't want to be posting a failed R3 now!!! Though I never seem to know which runs will not be as good :-/

Hopefully some helpful soul will be along shortly to explain to us why our asthma improves when we exert ourselves because I surely can't imagine why it would!...xx

Hope so, I'd love to know!

Fantastic going :D I don't have asthma but I still find the first 5 - 10 minutes take a while for the breathing and legs to settle in properly. Good luck for R3 whether it's Thursday or Saturday, whichever way you will do it x
