New PB 44.52

The fastest time at my parkrun is 15.15 , good for them but at 64 and only started running outside on 28th October I am happy with myself. They have only run for 15.15minutes I have run for 44.52 minutes , so I win , no brainer. Lol

I wholly agree with your reasoning. They are lightweights who don't have the commitment for a long run. :)

Brilliant run Lynda!

I run a touch slower than you and agree we win! Plus i may be carrying a few pounds extra compared to the gazelles so I'm working harder, that has to be true commitment on our parts 👍🏼😀🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

Yes if we include a weight allowance, inside leg measurement allowance and a bust size allowance to the age and gender % grading they would be calling me a winner .

Now, I have always worked on that theory, age related anyway.. and the effect of my wear and tear in respect of hills and weather too:)

I love your reasoning...I may use that myself AS and when :)

Go you :)

I like your style and well done, it doesn't matter what time you did it in, how many other 64 yr olds who've never run before are out there running? :)

Gotta love a pb :)

Don't worry they have all "peaked too soon" and will probably start slowing down. You may still as some improvement in you.

So your going faster forwards and they may be going backwards !

All the benefits of the running means even us "Old uns" are winners !

Good for you! I apply the same logic when go over 100 for a round of golf - I've got more of my money's worth than those who break 80 ;-)

My aim at Parkrun is to get round the first lap before the lead runners overtake me!!

Same here , they usually pass me at around 9minutes

Well done you! I totally agree with you - you're getting the better workout. In The Tortoise and the Hare the tortoise always wins so I'm sure the moral of the story is to go slowly. :)

Love the wit and banter here! Great that people don't take themselves too seriously.😀

We are all serious about feeling healthier , if laughing at ourselves helps us achieve that I for one don't mine playing the fool.
