Just joined here and thought I'd better say hello, I'm starting wk 5 run 1 tomorrow, run 3 this week scares me :-S please tell me it's not as bad as I'm imagining?

On the plus side my average HR has come down from 138 to 125 BPM and my pace is getting quicker so I must be doing something right I guess.

It's not as bad as you think! Take it as slowly as you can, and you will be fine. Most people gulp a bit at W5R3, but it is honestly is doable. The programme has built you up to it...it is more of a psychological challenge than a physical one. Let us know how you get on!

If you have been following the programme carefully and slowly and steadily you are fine.. you are so ready for this.:)

Just one slow step in front of the other, relax those shoulders, breathe evenly, nice light steps... and there you are done!!!

Honestly. It is the way.. slow and steady! :)

Hi there giddyaunts . Exactly what tortoisegirl said! Run 3 is far more a mental challenge than a physical one. You are certainly not alone in feeling the way you do about it. You only have to scroll through some of the week 5 posts to see the sense of dread pre run and the exhilaration post run!

Well done on reaching week 5. Hope you keep posting and let us cheer from the sidelines! ☺☺
