Make sure you are SLOW, i mean really slow. Just listen to your body and any niggles. When you progress make sure you get a gait analysis and fab new trainers. X Most importantly ENJOY

Good luck, definitely start slowly and don’t get downhearted if you struggle on any of your runs, just keep going and most of all enjoy it!

Slow and remember to enjoy your self because you’re doing it for you

Have a plan, what you’re going to wear, when you’re going to run, where you’re going to run - and then just run ... and let us know how you get on 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️👍

Oh and most important tie your laces with a double bow 🤞

Get out there enjoy it and believe in yourself. You can do this!!!!

Unlike dancing advice which I believe goes something like slow, slow, quick quick slow, on here we ignore the ‘quick’ bit. Slow and steady will get you your stamina to do the 30 minutes run.

Run for you and no-one else, don’t compare yourself to others as you are unique so your progress is yours and yours alone.

Make sure you’re well hydrated, drink today for running tomorrow is the key mantra.

But as everyone says, just have fun with it - it’s quite a blast.

I am about to start w9, no problems so far, if someone had said to me 8 weeks ago I would be running 5k in 30 mins I would have said impossible! Follow the program, get the best trainers you can, and plan the days to run in advance and stick to them! Good luck

When you think you are going as slowly as you possibly can,........slow down a little bit more!! Seriously, keep reminding yourself to take it slowly.

Take it as slowly as you need to. No-one cares that you're jogging slower than a walk, you get faster as the weeks go by. And speed didn't matter to me, it was getting the ability and self belief to keep jogging/running for a length of time. This programme has got me to 30 minutes slow running, from nothing, and from 17 stone 2 asthmatic to 16 stone 4 and breathing much more easily.
