I've just completed the C25K app and am disappointed I didn't find this community sooner!
I started running as I needed to pass a bleep test and am a total front-runner. My fitness was ok as I do other cardio and strength classes, but running? Nope!
I used to be entered for 1500m at school (without wanting to be) and would invariably walk the last 1 and 3 quarter laps, so the thought of running was awful! The early stages of this app were great prep for the test and I'm glad to say I passed! I've actually found I now enjoy running and have carried on.
Today I ran 5k in 36 minutes, which included the 5 minute walk at the start. Unfortunately my training course will be weekends so the Park Runs will be on hold for a while, but I'll keep it up at home!

Hi there Dellygoo123 ...Congratulations on completing the programme...that's a great time for a 5k too! I found this community when I was stuck on week 4...and I don't know how I would've done it without them, its a great place for advice, support and inspiration...You need to get your well deserved graduation badge by cicking on the October graduation badges pinned post...happy running!!
Thank you! There's been a few setbacks along the way, I had to have an operation around week 6 and had to rest and then go back a few weeks. It's taken me 6 months! But I got there so that's the main thing.
