Well it was tough going, but I managed to complete W3R1 this morning. Three minutes is a surprisingly long time. I'm doing the C25K on a treadmill and have to train myself to stop clock-watching, as when I ignore the fact I have 1 minute or whatever left it does seem easier.
Thanks again to everyone for the wonderful support and inspiration on here. It really does make a difference.

I haven't been brave enough to venture outside into the big wide world yet. Mainly because it would mean going out in the dark which I don't especially fancy. I can just see me tripping over something and falling flat on my face. My husband always reckons I can fall over the pattern in a carpet. Lol
Maybe I'll give it a try at the weekend and see how it feels. I'd also heard that a treadmill has a bit more 'give' so can be kinder on the knees.
I am a proper clumsy oaf so I know what you mean. I don't mind running outside in the dark as you just get used to it. It does help make you run slower though as you have to watch where you are going. It forces you to go steady, which is a good thing
A running lamp makes running in the dark more do-able, and fun. Ninja runners all!
Sarah1703, WELL DONE. I was supposed to have done W3R1 today as well but work made me slip W2R3 by a day, so that means I head off to try my W3R1 tomorrow also on the hamster wheel. 3 minutes sounds like a lifetime to me, but I'm going to give it a go. How I wish that like you I could say that I've done it .... maybe I can tomorrow evening! WELL DONE YOU!!
Hmmm! Just fished out a stopwatch for tomorrow so I could see how close I was getting to the end of a 3 minute "lifetime" run. So exhausted normally when I'm running on the hamster wheel I can't do the sums on the treadmill clock. Could be right, though, so maybe I'll try both approaches and as long as I keep moving that will not only be OK it will be a miracle!
