Just finished W2R3 and looked at Week 3s runs. Does anyone else think it’s a big jump from 90s to 3mins? I’m a bit daunted to be honest and it’s put me off somewhat.

I remember thinking the same but I was surprised by how I managed it and you will as well

Good luck

Thanks. I’ll probably do W2 again to be honest as I don’t think I’ll do 3mins yet. Did my last W2 tonight and it was extremely warm. Hope it cools down before I do W3 but I can’t see it to be honest!!😂

I've just finished my W2R3 run and thought the same, but I'm going to trust the system and give it ago anyway!

Don’t be put off! For one thing, it’s absolutely fine to set off & see how far you get. If you happen to finish, great! Move on.

If you don’t finish, it’s a practice run and you have another go after a rest day. On round 2, you just see if you can beat what you did last time. Simps. The only “failure” is if you don’t get out the door.

Lots of folks take more than the minimum 9 weeks to get to half an hour. It’s all fine.

Plus, remember this is an incremental plan that has been used by lots of folks to get from no running to 30 minutes of running. We can’t all be super heroes - normal people have done this! 🤪 if the Plan didn’t push us on, we’d still all be on the couches!

Good luck. You will get there. 👏🏼

Just give it a go Gav, I thought the same at the start of every week. I think most people do to be honest. You're about to learn what you're capable of, and it's amazing. Trust the plan, trust yourself. But if you don't make it, it's not the end of the world... just get back out there and do it again. It's win win, there is no fail.

Remember thinking that about every week 😁 I often wondered how on earth I was going to do the next week, but I gave them ago and realised the programme works.

If you prefer to redo week 2 first there's nothing wrong with that, but if you want to give week 3 a go then don't be daunted, go slow and trust in yourself and the programme

I thought so too, but surprised myself and was able to do it - just give it a try, you'll likely surprise yourself too! Don't put pressure on yourself though- you can always repeat a week!

In W3 you run for exactly the same duration as you did last week and the workouts are the shortest in the entire plan.

Trust the plan, believe in yourself.

This might help healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You can do this........it works.

Honestly, I think the worst point for me in the whole of C25K was looking ahead and seeing that 3 min run coming up! 😂 It felt absolutely, ridiculously, insanely impossible. I was horrified. But, trust me, you can do it. Take it slow, try to keep your breathing steady and you'll get through it. Good luck!
