Hi everyone - I’ve been checking all the helpful, encouraging posts on the forum for the past couple of weeks and felt I should come out from behind the trees and show myself! Haven’t told many people what I’m doing so it feels good to share. Really enjoying being out in the fresh air even though I feel like I’m running in the spot! However I’m being sensible and doing what Jo tells me - I’ll keep you posted on progress. I’m really motivated by all of you who have finished and would like to hear from those at the same stage as I am - I might be getting ahead of myself but I’ve ordered a band for when I do my first PR already - always the optimist, that’s me.

Well done for starting this programme it is so good. This forum is really encouraging too so keep sharing your story you are part of the community of runner! Just keep going and take it slowly you will get there. If I can (65 with a lung condition) anyone can 🙂

Thanks - off on W3R2 in the morning - looking forward to it - well done for getting to Week 7 - it seems a long way away at the moment - but I’m not going to wish my life away and will try to enjoy every step 😬

Well done Northreader - keep up the good work! I’ve not run a PR yet but like you I got a band and have volunteered a few times ; perhaps you could do that too? You could also try doing it as a walk just to see how it all works - they’re a friendly bunch and will make you welcome! Enjoy your C25K journey!

Well done I’m doing my first park run on Saturday as my graduation run! The advice on here is amazing and so much love and support it’s a lovely place to be. Good luck on your journey.

Good luck with your park run. I’m on W8 and starting to think about one, but it seems a scary thing to do 😩

Good luck tomorrow - W3R2 for me tomorrow - let’s update each other afterwards - my other half looks concerned for me every time I go out thinking I’ll come back in a heap - hasn’t happened so far - like you I want to finish in April as it’s my birthday too so want to try to keep to running every other day if I can 😬

Hiya - W3R2 done and dusted - into the wind as well. Last song playing on 5 min walk was Grease Lightning! I’ve found concentrating on the words of the songs helps me so on Saturday I’m going to play “I’m Free” from Tommy - I might even sing along🤪 and picture Roger Daltrey running along the beach. (If you’ve never seen the film you won’t have a clue what I’m on about). Thinking of you and look forward to hearing how you get on today.

DID IT, around lunch time. Very hard.... and the final 3 minute run was slightly up hill! (didn't time that one right!) feel great now that it's over with... not so good with 60 seconds to go!!! LOL ... can't believe that I'll ever manage more than 3 minutes!

Well done you - I’m worried about running more than 3 mins as well but I found 1 min hard a couple of weeks ago - onward and upward 🙂
