Parkrun progress

So I have done 5 parkruns now. I found yesterdays hard but was my best time so far. Still not under 30 minutes through.. I still get a little stitch but trying to concentrate on my breathing and working on core, also going out on my bike more - even in this cold weather. This morning was bitter but I forced myself. I have attached my parkrun progress so far. I am hoping to get under 30 minutes at my next parkrun in 2 weeks' time. I hope everyone is still enjoying their running as much as I am. It is good to see progress, no matter how small :-)

Well done on getting a PB - two minutes off your previous is impressive! Which is your local parkrun?

Ooh that's a National Trust property isn't it? My local one is Edinburgh, turns out there's even a run on Christmas Day

That's right. Ooh that would be lovely Christmas morning. We have ours Christmas Eve - dodging the deer, they occasionally run across the course but it's a lovely place to run especially this time of year - ground covered in leaves and early mist :-)

Well done you! I've done 25 parkruns and I'm still working towards a sub 30. My PB last week was 31:11. My parkrun has 4 runs, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, so I hope to go under 30 at one of those 😊

Well done! Keep it up and hopefully time will go under 30, and stitch not so bad now..

Thanks Dave. I do still get it from time to time but I am trying to work on my breathing pattern and that has helped :-)

I got down from 38 minutes to 28 minutes. Try making every third run a bit faster. If you use a GPS, focus on your average pace and keep it consistent throughout your run. Good luck, you can do this!
