Did my first parkrun yesterday and my first actual 5K having only managed about 4K in 30 minutes. It was great, really enjoyed it and coped with the extra distance without any trouble. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging and I felt strong and proud of how far Iโve come. Also found the time seemed to pass much quicker than when I run on my own, maybe because I was focusing on catching the person in front rather than how far is left to go? Anyway, roll on next Saturday ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

1st Parkrun
There is quite a difference between running alone and running with a group or in a crowd such as at a parkrun, you tend to go faster, congratulations on completing your first 5k Parkrun. ๐ Following someone might just make all the difference between a sub or plus 30 minute 5k.
Everybody should try parkrun, in my opinion, just to experience what people power can do.
Youโve inspired me. Graduated today and park run next Sat !!! Nervous about it but everyone seems to say itโs great ๐๐ป
Well done! ๐ช๐โโ๏ธ๐ And welcome to the parkrun family.......and your new addiction...๐ค. #loveparkrun โค๏ธ

Well done! And isnโt it great doing your first 5km? I did mine at PR too and same the whole spirit carried me through it. I did another 5km a few days ago without PR and was pleased to see that I could run that myself too. Keep enjoying running!
Congratulations on your first Parkrun and first 5K. Well done. I adore Parkrun. I did my 34th Parkrun yesterday with my 9 year old Son and we both got new PB times. Iโm a volunteer next weekend. I love being a volunteer too.

Thank you, itโs great isnโt it? Already looking forward to next Saturday! Volunteers were fab, especially loved the little helpers giving out high fives ๐ค
I try to run on my own, but keep someone in front of me to keep up with too.
