Taking it easy this week...

I should have gone out for a run last night, but I slightly injured my ankle a few days earlier. I think I must have turned it on a run last week. I went out for my usual run on Saturday, but my ankle started to protest about 3/4 of the way round so I cut short that run. It's not been very sore, and movement hasn't been affected but I thought it was better to be sensible and have an extra rest day or two.

On a more positive note, I received my information pack for the 5k that I'm doing in a few weeks time, including the route. It's being run in the park where I did my first runs of the Couch 25k programme which feels kind of appropriate!

Oh dear. Never mind. you could ice and elevate it at every opportunity. While you have your foot up you can daydream about your upcoming race. A good time to make a short list of what will be required on the day ☺

Currently on the couch with a bag of frozen chips on my ankle! It was feeling better today so I thought I'd try a gentle run.... but no, my ankle really started protesting after only 1.5k and I had to abort :-(

Currently trying to decide whether to include a santa hat or reindeer antlers as part of my kit for the race, given that it'should a festive one..
