W6 R2 the curve is upwards!

W6 R2 today, considered going outside, shivered as I dropped my daughter at the gym and decided to go for treadmill. Thought this would be interesting as if you follow me right back to the beginning I was treadmill only then got the outside bug after I got over my fear of what others might think.

W6 R2 is 2 x 10 mins and I would say I managed it in relative comfort - I even turned the speed up slightly in the last minute. The main thing was I felt a bit bored with the treadmill TV on subtitles, Trumped out on BBC News Channel, and I felt like the second ten minutes took ages. But I felt my stride pattern develop, I felt my breathing get a rhythm and I realised how far I had come. In early Sept I struggled with Week 4 and that seems so long ago. I remember being very down about it and so many of you said 'keep going, call it a practise run and you WILL get there' and here's me now having done twenty mins continuously in W5 and intervals again in W6. I believe I soon could enter a 5K!

I am still around about the same weight (i.e. heavy) because I don't think I have quite yet got the hang on doing the eating and running thing in tandem, e.g. I lost 7lb over two weeks when I was ill then looked at food and put 2lb back on.

Although I sometimes struggle with 3x in one week I am more like 3x in 8-9 days, I am still moving on up.....thank you for ALL your support thus far xxx

Lol! I don't know, but I feel slightly alarmed by it!

Well done you on week six. You sound like you're really on top of it. And you're right about how earlier weeks feel like a lifetime ago, and yet it really is a very sort time since I was completely exhausted in week one. So amazing how fast this program gets you moving! Good luck with your next run!

Well done on week 6. Try not to let the cold put you off running outside you warm up pretty quick and it is more interesting then the treadmill. Give park run a go.
