Completed the first run yesterday morning, it was freezing and I really struggled. I know I'm going to have to dig deep this week and be really positive if I'm going to suceed but I'm still dreading run two and three!

Just focus on how good you will feel when you have completed the runs. Most people approach week 5 thinking 'but I'll never, manage that' but they do it. I followed the advice from others on the forum to take it slow and steady and just keep going. It worked and week 5 run 3 was one of my favourites.

You can do this... run and keep warm.. very brisk warm up walks and then slow and steady.. have you got a buff to pull up around your neck and throat? Essential for keeping out draughts and raindrops :)

One step in front of the other...:)

Oh don't dread them PLEASE! 😊 You'll be fine. Brisk warm up walk first and then off you go. you soon warm up

I do a warm,up in the house first, so I am smokin hot by the time I hit the street

Positive, dig deep. Good words 😊 Keep the faith! 😆

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words, planning on second run tomorrow and will need to run to keep warm! I'll let you all know how I get on. 😊

Hi JoMills0612, that was a few weeks ago, now starting week 8 and really loving it again after a few weeks hard work. I feel I'm on the home straight and planning a Park Run for my week 9 run 3 run so have something to aim for!! Good Luck with the rest of week 5!

I realised that when I scrolled down! Doh! Good for you :) I've found some weeks better than others and was literally dreading running for 20 mins! That sounds great - I'd like to see how far I am from 5k and park run is perfect - I think my week 9 is Christmas week :)
