I've just finished week 4 (2 rounds of 3 min run then 5 mins run) and I can't really believe that in three runs time, I'm going to be able to do 20 mins. Do many people manage week 5 on their first go?

Week 5 doubts
Aww well done.. I did my 20 min run today. It is daunting but you will manage it. I had a few days break between run 2 and run 3. Had a sore hip so had 5 day break..
Good luck
They do... and you will Slow and steady... trust the plan..believe in yourself and you are on your way..
I just finished it, first attempt. I didn't believe it would be possible at the start of the week, but it felt good and like I could keep going. I am in my mid 40s and I don't think I have ever run for 20 mins in my life. You can do it!
Yep. I did it on my first go and absolutely loved being able to run without stopping.
To put that into perspective, I really struggled to finish week 1 run 1.
Trust in the program, trust in yourself and if you have any doubts at all, just set off slower than normal.
Let us know how you get on

From what I've seen on the forum, most people complete that first 20 minute run and love the feeling of an uninterrupted run. You'll be fine - it does seem unbelievable to go from nothing to 20 minutes running but trust the programme and keep us updated during week 5!
This plan is full of surprises and one of the best surprises is finding out what you are capable of ☺️ .
Trust the plan, trust yourself. Take it slow and steady and you will do it. Happy running 😊🏃♀️
Most people do I think, but try not to think about it. Be positive, take it slowly, and you’ll be fine 👍😁
I finished week five last week. Loved it!!
Thanks everyone! I got loads more replies than I was expecting and they're all so motivating! I have two rest days ahead due to evening commitments so it will be Thursday before I can start week 5 but I'll trust the plan and try my best! Thank you everyone, it's really reassuring to hear that it is possible
If you read the post linked to by Oldfloss you will see that there really is nothing to fear.
You can do this.
