Did my last run of wk three last night. Was a so-so run this time.
I think running four days in a wk is probably a bit of a stretch for me. I have been doing three..Monday, Thursday and Saturday, but wanted to swirch days/ redo one run, so shoved in an "extra" day this week to mon, weds, Friday.
Legs felt very very heavy last night, and thought at one point I was going to get cramp, which was a first, and I felt slightly stiff everywhere else right up until midway through the very last run, which was then fine. Maybe I needed to walk a bit longer to start off with to get warmed up. I'll give that a go tomorrow by walking up to the park before I start the iPod going.
Anyway I just read the week four plan.... Is she having a laugh?! Five minutes?!!! π±π± Waaaaahhh!! Mind you I thought that last week, about three minutes, so I'll just have to give it a go and see, I suppose.
And it will be nice anyway, the park is beautiful, and I shall enjoy that regardless of how the run goes. I only get to go there at weekends, the rest of the time I run on roads which are not as pretty. (Although I do like peeking at other peoples gardens. Some very green fingered folk around here)
It. Will. Be.fine..
Right that's me told... Good luck to everyone, and especially to those doing the first run of a new week!

Thanks, both. I try to just think about how great I'll feel when I have done it. And I try never to read more than one run ahead (I don't like the idea of a complete surprise!)
If you think your upcoming week 4 sounds tough, have a look at run 3 of the following week!! I think you had the right idea before by having 2 rest days in between runs and if you go back to that plan you should be fine.
All the best with it anyway. I look forward to hearing how you get on.
It sounds as if you are doing just fine. Like you say you could do a day less to make things less tiring for you. I am very slow to warm up, always have been, so I always do a longer warm up, eg 10 minutes sometimes and I warm up in the house first once I'm all ready to head out. I do a short warm up routine twice before going out for the warm up walk
You should be ok with the progression. You have trained for it. Go steady and you'll get round.
I like to have a good look round at my surroundings too. If you run slow enough you can be quite nosey. I run past a house with a garden just like Onslow and Daisies!
