I should have completed wk 8 yesterday but after a long stressy work day I just wasn't up to running last night. I had a bout of insomnia & anxiety last night so was tired on getting up but I had to burn off some adrenalin & what better way than a practice run. It started off well, I had a very light jog to warm up as the brisk walking isn't getting me warm enough to run and then I was off! I had a nice steady pace but after 10 minutes of running I gave in, lungs pumping & legs starting to wobble I had to stop.I phoned the OH to come & get me & had a lift home. It was a therapeutic run, it did burn of the overload of adrenalin & the stressors from yesterday were put into perspective. I also made a few decisions on my run so it was well worth it. Week 8 has proved to be my most challenging week so far & I am sure that 95% of it is psychological. Onwards towards graduation now because I WILL get there π
Wk8 D3 another practice run: I should have... - Couch to 5K
Wk8 D3 another practice run
Keep going! It is amazing the number of factors that can influence your run, or even just whether you run or not! I should be running this morning to finish week 7, but absolutely exhausted and achy, so leaving it today...hopefully I'll be back tomorrow!
Of course you will get there.. we are right with you all the way!
A good practice run and good that husband was there to give you support
Next run out.. slow, steady and focus on how far you have come.. leave the stresses behind you as you run.. that pesky Anxiety Gremlin.. squish him with every step you take!
Chin up x
How lovely and positive! Those practice runs definitely have a purpose and, as we all say, any run is better than no run. It's so nice that you're using running for more than just getting through the programme. You're close now and you're right, of course you WILL get there!
Yes you will
I'm saving you a seat at the Graduates table already
I found week 8 tough as well and am starting week 9 tomorrow after a two day test this time so fingers crossed π€ stay positive you can do this π see you at the graduation line π¨βπ
