I have just returned from my 3rd attempt at this run, after graduating recently. It's the run at 150bpm, 155 and finally 160bpm for the final five minutes. Previous two attempts left me walk/run after 20 Minutes. So this time I kept the pace but reduced my stride and completed it. Feels good. Only 4.2km in the 30' and at a slow 7.1km/h. But done. I felt like graduating had not really been successful. Hopefully can increase the stride over the next few runs
Maybe Parkrun soon. What do others recommend.

Thank you for your reply. I know it makes sense, and after postponing running or the excellent C25K programme for sooooo many years, I am feeling much better regarding my health. I think a Parkrun, even a bad one, will enable me to compare myself with some other people and get more advice. Wish you every success.
Parkrun is proper good fun. Folks there are lovely. Be sure to volunteer as well as it's such a good way to get to know folks and get a feel for the whole Parkrun thing. You can grab a cuppa and a bacon sarni etc afterwards. Folks are very friendly and supportive. They would be! They are all there for the same thing. To have a good leg stretch on a Saturday morning, or a natter with other runners/walkers on the way round. Some less able people/injured runners etc walk the 5k and it's very uplifting to see the mix of people there, all with their own stories. If you volunteer as tail runner you have the chance to hear them
To get your Graduate badge you have to have completed C25k programme. There is a link in blue text to the right hand side of the screen. If you click on the icon it should bring up an email link for you to request your virtual Graduate badge. You can also buy a real graduate C25k badge. There should be a link to that too. I have one which I keep pinned to my run jacket and wear with pride
Do parkrun ! I'm not fast, I don't do long distances but parkrun suits me fine ! Go !
