New to this, put it off for a while but decided i needed to! 32,part time student and low on confidence right now so thought this would be one way of getting it back! Done my first two runs in warm conditions at home, third on campus tomorrow so hoping it will be cooler! Timed at 46"23' yesterday.

Are you following the C25K programme? I don't understand how you are clocking up that length of time?

in reply toUllyrunner

Had to stop for at least two cars and a horserider! Luckily on the OU campus there aren't any such problems! Otherwise yesterday's time would have been 36 mins.

Welcome aboard Hidden , we are following this programme :

Why not read the C25K Home page and see if this is better suited for you :-) xxx

Sorted, all the podcasts downloaded :-) Thank you!! xx Better doing the run before my meetings on campus, should allow me to tolerate 2 hours in a stuffy room! Know the perfect spot too,a little bit around the area on campus that I've walked before.

Welcome to the best thing you will do! The forum is a fab place for support and advice and C25K programme makes you realise that you are capable of far more than you think. Remember, slow and then slower still will enable you to reach the finishing line. Look forward to hearing how you are getting on. Happy running :-)

Weather was awful here yesterday so I couldn't do it,but walked for a bit, and I was very tired too, wiped out with the travel yesterday, took way more out of me than usually. Anyhow, will complete W1 when I get home later tonight :)

Finally got around to completing week 1 this afternoon! In damp/wet conditions,so not as heavy as on campus on Monday, but shaved three minutes off what I have done over the first two,so all good so far :) Even with blistering in my left foot and tricky conditions underfoot,it was okay.
